Terms of use
These terms apply to the GrillMate app for iPhone ("the app"), developed by Andrea Stevanato ("the developer"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them.
Licence
The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), together with these terms. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA prevails.
Using the app
Use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes and in line with the law. Don't try to reverse engineer, copy, resell or interfere with the app.
Your content
Everything you add to the app (barbecues, cookings, recipes, notes and photos) belongs to you. It's stored on your device and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your private iCloud; see the privacy policy. You're responsible for your content and for keeping a backup of it, for example with Settings → Data → Export data. The developer can't recover data that is deleted or lost.
Cooking and food safety
Times, temperatures, recipes and stats in the app are notes you record for yourself, not food safety or health advice. Always cook food to a safe internal temperature, follow the official food safety guidance and the instructions of your barbecue's manufacturer, and use barbecues, fire and fuels safely.
Features and changes
The developer may update the app, add, change or remove features, or stop offering it. Some features may in the future be offered through an in-app purchase; if so, the price and conditions will be shown in the app before you buy, and these terms will be updated.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. The developer doesn't guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that iCloud sync will always be available, since it depends on Apple's services.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
